Portal / The scene of choice

Mountains for me have always been the sign of Majesty and authority. For almost 9 years, I just painted mountains. Since the most remote antiquity, the concept of Port has always been loaded with deep and articulated symbolic and spiritual values. The door represents the place of passage between two states, between two worlds, between the known and the unknown, light and darkness, wealth and misery. Just as a door that is an entrance represents a beginning, a door that is an exit represents an end so at the same time symbolizes both an end and a new beginning and while a door can be found at the end of a long passageway, there's an element of hope that there's something on the other side.
