Clare's Motherhood Collection' was conceptualized when Clare was invited by Keith Wright a Sydney based social entrepreneur and businessman to take part in 'LOVE IS' a book collaboration between many different artists, writers and poets who each produced work on the theme of 'Love.' Clare's work on 'Maternal Love' was inspired directly from the artists own experience of becoming a mother to each of her 3 children. '" It is a profound landmark in life the journey of pregnancy and the physical and emotional journey into motherhood, the rush of intense love when you see your newborn child, it changes you, physically emotionally and spiritually. My paintings celebrate this intense journey of pregnancy birth and motherhood.
