Giologica

This series is a dedication to my love of geology and the attentive study of intricate natural specimens. All rocks and minerals exhibit strong individualistic qualities and are an echo of vast distances in time.. although common specimens are usually overlooked. When painting this kind of subject matter, attention is brought to these unassuming objects in a unique way. This series acts to reintroduce the wonder found in the mundane, to focus interest in a natural motif that is often missed.
