Little Silhouettes

I love the idea of working with light, darkness, and fading shadows. Silhouettes - dark shapes and outlines visible against a lighter background, especially in dim light (source: Wikipedia) - are a perfect way for me to satisfy this need and add some drama to a petite and thoughtful canvas. The subjects I have chosen are all what I would consider depictions of 'down time'. I like to think of them as small but mighty, packing in a lot of sentiment.
