Les Regards

'Les Regards' Series, are mixed media compositions on canvas. The work is an enlargement of a brut collage on paper. In these collages all images are from authentic vintage magazines. The 'Regards' series is produced with techniques that make each composition unique and original. The original collage is mirrored, enlarged and printed, then transferred onto canvas and finished with oil paint and pastels. Torn paper is added to the composition, this paper is from French 'Illustration' Magazines dating 1914-1917. The aged and worn paper adds to the nostalgic aspect of the portraits.
