Geomentropy - Installations

I was making 1000 paper planes for One Thousand Means of Escape. It was boring work. I liked the shape of the planes before the wings were folded down. They were simple paper darts. I made hundreds and started arranging them in patterns. Mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot had just died, and I had been thinking about complex patterns and the way things intersect. I made and photographed about 12 of these installations, each with a distinct pattern and method of continuously combining the darts. "Geomentropy I-VI" is a video series in which I employed different methods of destroying these installations.
