Forest Abstracts

The photographs used to create the symmetrical compositions were taken deep in a Pacific Northwest forest early in the summer of 2018. The sun was at peak brightness as it filtered through the forest canopy. Open areas were filled with light. Where the vegetation was thicker shadows created deep pools of greens in varying shades. The place was one where natural elements of the ambient existed in synergistic harmony.
