Dinner on the table

In a supermarket society we can find ourselves divorced from where our food comes from. We buy meat in convenient plastic packets which bear no relation to the living, breathing animal in the field. My inspiration for these works came recently, when farming neighbours very kindly offered us a lamb for the freezer. This unexpectedly came along in one piece. With a sharp knife and a hacksaw from the tool box, I chopped the carcass into sections on the kitchen table, which did then fit into the freezer. There is a first time for everything.
