Agrarian District One

My new series of botanical paintings, still life, tables, chairs, pots, and vases inside a room. This series is painted with gouache. The term gouache was first used in France in the eighteenth century to describe a type of paint made from pigments bound in water-soluble gum, like watercolor, but with the addition of a white pigment in order to make it opaque. This is an acrylic gouache that dries matte. Some paintings in this series will also include mixed media techniques including paper and other types of skins.
