The Other Avatars VINCENT VAN GOGH

The Other Avatars are based on the figure of the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890). While today Van Gogh is considered one of the most influential figures in Western art history, during his lifetime he saw relatively little commercial success. His story is emblematic of so many artists and creative thinkers whose visionary approaches—while underappreciated in the moment—turn out to be ahead of their time. A collection of original artworks by 150+ emerging artists across the globe, selected by our curators, and inspired by the self-portraits of Vincent van Gogh and the NFT landscape in 2021.
