Hanging Gardens

a series of new works - Hanging Gardens - exploring the boundaries of abstraction / representation - the paintings evoke the natural world through suggestive brushmarks and colour while also drawing the viewer into an engagement with the physical , abstract qualities of paint . This series is oil paint on hand prepared 400 gsm Fabriano paper - the ground has been customised by the artist to create a surface which facilitates her fluid and intuitive handling of oil paint .
