The title “about:blank” refers to the idea of an artist without inspiration, as a blank error page in a computer. The way artists find inspiration nowadays is sometimes the internet, and Instagram especially is a great visual source. Before you use to go to galleries or museums, but now you can just scroll down and get awareness of what painting looks like today. How this affects the art process as well as the final artwork interests me in the sense of how a machine/algorithm is deciding what content you see and in what order, as well as avoiding certain other. In these series I put myself in the place of an algorithm that filters, reduces and positions with the objective to create a new composition.
