"Where do I begin" is painted with acrylic on MDF and wood. A frame is not necessary, because the edges are painted as well. My works are all structured, with hard edges, mostly geometric. Clear structure is the setting for me, to let my emotions or chance decide the colors. I do not work with sketches, the painting is created while painting. The unusual size of some of my paintings comes from the fact that I often use materials created from old objects or waste products.

Germany
Fabienne was born in 1978 and lives in Leipzig, Germany. She never painted, not until her fascination of the hard edge geometric abstraction painters like Karl Benjamin let her take the paint brush and try it herself. That was about five years ago. Since then, painting has become as important to her as writing. Her works focus on the opposites of life: structure and chaos, rationality and emotion, combining clear structure in form and emotional or random choices in color.
