I wanted to create images dealing with the great tradition of Chinese meditation. Sun Bu'er, one of the Taoist Seven Masters of Quanzhen, lived c. 1119–1182 C.E. in the Shandong province of China. She was a beautiful, intelligent, and wealthy. In one of Sun Bu'er's poems one finds: Projecting the Spirit There is a body outside the body, which has nothing to do with anything produced by magical arts. Making this aware energy completely pervasive is the living, active, unified, original spirit. "Sun Bu'er Meditating" Digital Ink Painting on Paper/Ink-jet Print 1 of 3, 80 x 60cm. Edition 3 + 2AP (the Artist's proof is for my archive). Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta paper 315 g/sqm with archival inks, to ensure the quality and longevity of the print. – Signed by the artist on the back of the print and shipped well protected in a tube (in a tube).
