"Outside our consciousness there lies the cold and alien world of actual things." - Heinrich Hertz On the "Mother" oil on canvas painting - The figure of a woman is represented by a breasts and a female hands, on her right side is a black sphere which represents the logic of the existence often interpreted as deception. The lamp in the centre of the work illuminates allowing the passing from the memory the past to the present and the dream to the reality. The curtain at the top of the painting represents a door open to memory and the black spots represent the broken mirror in which the mother I have never known is represented. The table represents life, nature, safety and energy, The blue line that crosses the table represents the path between before and now. What/who inspired the work? The reason that I never met my mother and the fact that I always have her in a place that even I do not know. I really hope its viewers will spend some time with this painting because it is somehow special. • This artwork is and original unique • Include Certificates of Authenticity and Declaration of Authenticity • Signed by the artist • All the copy rights reserved

★ Carlos Simpson is an Entrepreneur, Strategic Graphic Designer, Artist, Musician, and Author in London – United Kingdom. “From my five-year-old until today, I dedicate myself and my life to the Arts. I’ve never learned how to paint, sing, and how to play music, but from a noticeably early age I learned something that I consider to be my greatest asset: “Never be afraid to be myself.” And this way inspires other people to be better humans. The fact that I’ve never met anyone from my family was the reason that inspired me from an early age to the imagination and creation of a new world that introduced me to the world of art and culture. My Art is an anthropological and philosophical study with the intention of better understanding first the Man / Woman and everything that surrounds him/her to understand my own existence as an individual and evolutionary matter.” ★ Carlos Simpson explores the complex relationships between art, beauty, religion, science, life, and death, gender dynamics, questions society constructs, and gender empowerment.
