I first saw the works of Hans Holbein (or rather the series of engravings “Iconography” by Francesco Bartolozzi) as a child. I was incredibly lucky; in a small town in the Urals, where I was born and studied art, the world’s only museum of “Engravings and Drawings” was created. Therefore, the History of Art excites me and is an endless source of inspiration and Love! The canons of works of art have gone down in history, but continue to excite the feelings of millions of people around the world. I create works based on aesthetics that have inspired artists, musicians and poets for many centuries! You can touch it with me... This is a continuation of the antique series "ARCHAIC". The Renaissance also turned to ancient antique sculpture and exalted the art of Greece and Rome. The drawings of Hans Holbein became the basis of my inspiration. The work used a fragment of Jan van Eyck "Ghent Altar". The work was done using the “a la prima” technique on Italian Fabriano Artistico paper 300 g/m (100% cotton). It ensures preservation and prevents oxidation over time. Also included at the bottom of the painting is Potal (decorative gold).
