Crisalide (chrysalid) graphite pencil drawing on Schoeller cardboard. dimension 44 cm x 80 cm (17,3 x 31,4 inches). The artwork depicts some broken walnuts. The main theme of my artistical research is the caducity of the human life. The Vanitas theme is a very ancient topic in history of art and philosophy, which she has intensified in my artworks after the covid pandemic. The study of the objects and of the nature, with esasperated small, enlarged and faded stille lifes, explores the beauty of nature and and drama of this theme. The title alludes to the spiritual and physical changings that we undergo in our lifes.
