Born in Jerusalem in 1942, Yael David-Cohen has been living and working between continents and cultures in the past three decades. She has had numerous one-woman and group exhibitions, and her work is featured in five public collections in the U.K., U.S. and Israel.
Yael David-Cohen uses the language of abstraction and colour to investigate the themes of nature and growth, her work often resonating recognizable organic shapes and forms. Her oeuvre includes large-scale mixed media on found fabrics, intaglio prints and handmade artist books.
A graduate of the Tel Aviv University (Literature and Philosophy), the Tel Aviv School of Art, and St. Martins School of Art (postgraduate studies), Yael David-Cohen has been actively exhibiting her work since the late 1960s.
