As an Australian born artist, I have taken residency in tropical London, immersing myself in the depths of the United Kingdoms and Europe art culture. My decision to explore a range of artistic talents, further embarks a journey into my unknown potential, thus overwhelming my unwarranted self-perception of mediocrity, urging myself to sway away from possible mid-life crisis and Ferrari or Porsche purchasing tendencies.
My first collection encompasses photo realistic illustrations, based on a love of the black and white photographic genre. A particular love for images by the late iconic Jazz photographer, Herman Leonard, has been my initial focus. Herman’s images of Jazz icons taken in the 50’s and 60’s, when the digital age of capturing images had yet to be conceived, grabbed my attention immediately, bringing inspiration to my skill in ink pointillism and graphite lead work alike.
