I was born in 1979 in California. I am a self taught artist. I started painting in 1998, and started sculpting shortly thereafter.

A basic description of the term: “Divine Mania” is a state of being when a person is inspired/possessed by a god or a muse, The Divine being expressed through a person. A common state found in many artists.

I consider the human imagination to be the “Prima Materia” and a means for expressing the hidden world inside of us all. Through expressing this and uncovering what lies within oneSelf (both positive and negative) a person is healed of many diseases of the consciousness and the person can then grow.

I consider my artwork to be my personal religion. And like many of the gods of the past my paintings are both terrifying and beautiful. The goal is a form of Theurgy or Alchemy. The act of perfecting my paintings should also correspond to the act of transmuting my Psyche (Soul). Many of my paintings are personal rituals, some are a means of atonement or secret love letters and sometimes… an inside joke to poke fun at the world.

Throughout my paintings I am most comfortable with the uniting of two poles/opposites. Making the circle whole, through the confluence of light and darkness. I do as I have always done, I make creations which are honest to myself first and foremost.
