Teri Donovan was born in Paris, Ontario, Canada and grew up in Toronto, Ontario.
She currently lives in Toronto and is a member of The Red Head Gallery.
Donovan's practice has evolved over time through several distinct series of work incorporating a variety of drawing and painting media. Her work is unified by an exploration of the paradoxical and is located in the spaces between what is immediately apparent and what is contradictory and obscured.She was featured in the recently published, Carte Blanche Vol. 2: Painting, a survey of contemporary painting in Canada.
Teri Donovan received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from York University,and has studied at the Ontario College of Art, the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore,the Toronto School of Art, George Brown College, and the University of Toronto
