Athina Sougleris’ (suGleri) art work can put you in the artist’s personally experienced journey of concept sequence. It comes to be a pure visual art style determined by interaction and alternation of various forms, celebration of colors and freedom of the contour. What captures the viewer is a new path of depicting the internal chords of her optimistic sense and attitude.
The section titled “parallel worlds” born out of a natural instinct ends to be shaped into either mythic or imaginary elements. They appear to be plants or animals, primitive form and material creatures. A new world arises and runs parallel to the one existed. A new world arises and its primeval elements and shapes are approached along with the ones existed.
The artist begins at random and this seems to be determined by some unknown to the uninitiated rules and at the same time influenced by Athina’s painting journey, her experiences, her multidimensionality; she is a painter and a civil engineer as well. You can see in some of her works the austere contour as an expression of demarcation an engineer’s developed ability.
Athina is also an environmentalist. She eagerly looks for eco paths in her everyday life.
She also created from her paintings fine art cards that were issued by the Hellenic Post and they made high sales in Greece.

•February 2006: Hotel "Porto Rio" of Patras in combination with the medical conference, emphasizing in the relationship between Art and Science. The exhibition was a success and showed off in all the local mass media.
