Sol Lang

About

A graphic designer and photographer, Sol Lang is co-founder (with wife, artist and graphic designer, Mary Bogdan) of Crayon Design & Communication, a design firm in Montreal established in 1980. Sol Lang has won numerous national and international awards and was on the board of directors of the Socit des Graphistes du Qubec. He has been actively producing photographic art and has participated in numerous solo as well as group exhibitions. His works are in public and private collections. http://sollang.com Sol Langs photography is a commentary on the ongoing concerns of womankind in her continuous struggle to shed her stereotypical, objectified view of femininity as it has been depicted by the media-culture of our western society. He presents his images artistically, with the skills of a fashion photographer, but without the entourage of a large production crew. Education

Sol Lang has graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Concordia University in Montreal in 1976. More recently he has participated in the Advanced Photography Seminar at the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts and is now a member of the 8 Versions photo group, which holds exhibits and meets regularly.
