What is Showdown?

Welcome to Showdown, an online competition where artists can showcase their work and go head-to-head with other artists, giving the winner a chance to display their art at the Saatchi Gallery in London.

The winner will receive US $1000

The runner up will receive US $500

The winning works will go on to display at the Saatchi Gallery in London.

How It Works

First Round: Community + Curated Voting

Anyone with a valid Saatchi Online account is able to participate in the First Round of voting. All valid submissions will be randomly displayed and each work will be voted on a scale of 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest).

128 works with highest votes will progress

Second Round (Juried Voting)

A jury, selected by Saatchi Online and led by Rebecca Wilson, Director of the Saatchi Gallery London will review the 128 semi-finalists.

Final Round (Judge)

A judge selected by Saatchi Online will select the 1st and 2nd place winners of Showdown.

Top two pieces will show at the Saatchi Gallery London
1st place (The winner will receive US $1000) and 2nd place (The runner up will receive US $500)

Artwork Submission Rules

Art must be in the style or category specified to be eligible
Art must not have been submitted to a previous Showdown or any other Saatchi competition
Must be an original work currently for sale on the Saatchi site (requires proof of ID)
Top 128 works must remain for sale for at least 3 months following the Showdown
An original must be available to show in the gallery should you win 1st or 2nd place.
