I love experimenting with media and processes, including making hand-pressed monotypes and altering them in some way.

I am influenced by everything around me, but especially by history, science, mythology, spiritual traditions, and literature. The playfulness, surprise, and adventure of the creative process are as important to me as the resulting work. Most of all, I love to watch a work of art become whatever it seems to want to be.

My hope is that each time I begin new work it will convey meaning..whether that meaning is what I personally intend and am moving toward..or something the viewer will discover on his or her own. I consider the viewer a vital part of my work.
