My work is of a semi-abstract manner based around the human form, the materials I use are pastels, inks and conte crayon. I work in probably four different ways, all of which are minimalist in approach.

My compositions can vary from severely simplified single images to the rhythmic contours of multi-image pieces.

Other images are geometrically abstracted to the point where they no longer represent conventional reality. Alternatively I use the human figure as landscape which again is an entirely different concept.

Purity of line in its most simplistic form gives a suggestion of composition and leaves the viewer to put their own imagination to work. Some of the more complicated pieces create a feeling of rhythm and movement using interacting poses.
