Ruth Franklin

About

Ruth Franklin was born in Kent, England, in 1964.

She earned a BA in Painting from Brighton Art School in 1989 and emigrated to America five years later.

Ruth's first one-woman-show in New York City was at Gallery 71 in 1996. After the success of that exhibition, she returned for a second solo-show in 1998, in which she was hailed as "An important contemporary artist with a unique vision" by ARTspeak Magazine.

Ruth lives and works in Atlanta and is represented by her business partner and husband, Shawn Vinson - an art advisor & photographer. Their daughter, Ruby Franklin, graduated from the Savannah College of Art & Design in 2011 with a BFA in Painting.
