Charlie Day has a first class Fine Art BA from Central St Martin’s in London and has exhibited in many group shows including the famous Summer Show at the Royal Academy. As well as making abstract paintings reminiscent of the St Ives group of painters, he also makes painting of things, such as this lighthearted depiction of a budgie looking ‘pretty pleased’ with himself in the mirror. Day’s work is in public collections, including the University of the Arts and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and in private collections in Portugal, Spain, Italy, US and UK.
