Predominantly figurative in form, abstraction seeps into the paintings of Hannah Weatherhead as figure and form struggle for attention. Areas of flesh are interrupted with abstract and geometric shapes applied over the loose and intuitively applied paint underneath. Hannah’s palette consists of grungey flesh-tones and an influx of neon, creating subtle areas of added interest and bright areas of bold colour. Hannah is a recent graduate from the BA (Hons) Fine Art program at the University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury, UK.
