I currently study the space between shapes and objects. I want to describe how the space in between is much more significant than the bigger shapes or objects. Like in life; little unexpected things or things you experience by chance are often the things that leave strong impressions or change your life.
I started in 1984 as a student of weaver Bodil
Bødtker-Næss. Bodil was a renowned designer and
weaver. She unfortunately died in 1987. Then I studied drawing and painting in particular by Tina Forchhammer
and Ulrik Hoff for several years until I was admitted in 1990 at
The Danish Design School at the line of textile design. Here I was fortunate to have the painter Robert
Risager as a teacher. He has been a great inspirer
and support for me in my work with my artistic
expression. I finished my education in 1994 as an interior decorator. Subsequently, I have worked for some years at
theatres and for 7 years I have had my own business
with design and interior decorating.
In 2009 I decided to pursue my dream and
