Drawing and its materials have an important place in my work.
For a few years till now I have been focusing on application of ink painting in different combinations with other techniques, for example, carbon transfer.I am fascinated by the "morphology" of canvas formats. I search for an inspiration in the fine art tradition (composite polyptychs) and also in global symbols of the present day (pentagon). The selected forms are accompanied by the content. The content of my work is put together metaphorically with hiddensymbolism meant for sharp observants. It is completed by the monochromatic color of ink and subtle shades of glaze. The oil paintings from the later period are a return to my second position which is vivacious, with the dashing red which symbolizes activity and unease as reflections of the world. This color is my imaginary line between life and death. Death coexists with life, its mysterious spirituality is never fully expressed so it's an attractive theme for me.
I continue to work with the technique of ink painting because it has an easing effect on my more serious motifs:Capturing the sense of time and mortality, archiving of photo instants of the surroundings,the process which captures the symptomaticness of stagnation when there is an urge for action.An indisputable status, an uncollectible urgent memory.A hard release of suppressed trauma; all of that creates my field of interest in my creative process.…Read More
