Born in Oak Park Illinois, USA. I am a painter, writer, architectural designer, sculptor, I took an early retirement from my Professorship and advertising careers.I paint, mainly figures, I write novels and a column, blogspot, I survived polio and Rheumatic fever as a lad to become an athlete and artist. I prefer to paint beautiful women and action/adventure images, as well as some religious art. I was an academic child prodigy in primary school, and won a Chicago Art Institute scholarship at age 11 for figure drawing. I won Ford Foundation Fellowships, HEW Scholarship, and a Merit scholarship in figure Painting in college. Now I have returned to painting after a long hiatus.
I often under-paint using the accepted process of the Old Masters on my oil, tempera, acrylic paintings, in one or more of the following media, following in descending order of frequency: oil, acrylic, tempera, pastel, watercolor, or digital image transfers of my sketches, and/or photos of my models.
