I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and from an early age it became clear that images, colours, light and shade had a major effect on me. In the year 2000 I moved to London and during the 6 years I lived there its multiculturalism strongly influenced my perception of art. I now live in Italy, by Lake Como.
In my work I seek godlike simplicity through ethereal figures. Pursuing an unassuming but never mundane feel. Originality, in lines and concepts, expressed in oil and textures on canvas. I try to achieve a perennial and balanced result, without renouncing some confusion.
Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee as well as Joan MirĂ² are the ones I mostly identify with, and even though I do not always relate to their choices, I feel we speak the same language. Last but not least, Vincent Van Gogh has always been a considerable reference.
