Zanny Mellor is a London-based graphic artist documenting the fluidity of fast-paced city life in graphic, colourful and detailed paintings and illustrations.
Her distinctive compositions capture a 360 degree impression of a particular location often depicting architectural detail, transport systems, road markings, branding and signage to create a cacophony of partly defined forms, pathways and marks.
Drawn to areas such as transport hubs, bridges, junctions and construction sites for their innate dynamism and energy, she visualises the physical and potential energy of a site.
These graphic cityscapes concentrate on the flow of pedestrians and traffic, while incorporating her enthusiasm for architecture, typography and the geographic language of maps.
