I was born in Sheffield in 1949.I trained at Liverpool College of Art from 1975 to 1978.I subsequently taught art in various schools and colleges.I now paint full time and I live in Appley Bridge,Lancashire.

My paintings represent impressions I have taken from my travels both at home and abroad.My aim is to capture what I feel is unique about the places and people I have encountered .
