About

BORN: 1938 in Poland (to German parents)
A professional Artist for the past 36 years, The medium I use is watercolour, or egg-tempera, and although most of my work is done in my studio, I take extensive breaks hiking around rural Ontario in search of new subjects, new ideas and new inspiration.
My studio/home is in Brampton Ontario where I also have raised my son Paul from his age of 19 month on my own, since the death of my wife in a car accident in 1978.
At present I enjoy most a hike in the country, the solitude of my work, or a quiet dinner in the company of family and/or some close friends.
I live in Peace with myself and with my world around me and I strive to keep it that way.

Painting is my means of communicating my most intimate
impressions of nature, my emotional reaction to life, my
deep feeling about my subject and the world around me.
As an artist I try to interpret nature because it is also my basic believe, that nature is a true source of peace.
If my work is effective in communicating that believe,
then it speaks for me and I would like to think, that I have succeeded in this effort.
