Francesco Milanesio began his career as a professional photographer at an early age, following a family tradition.
Since the 1980s he has been travelling regularly to East, in particular to India.

From the 80s he begum travelling regularly to Asia, in particular to India, Nepal, Tibet.

His explorations have afforded him the opportunity to use his camera to capture natural landscapes, and also to portray the social fabric and everyday life that he witnessed.
