Started off as a hobby and tried my luck in 1995 first solo show, no looking back since then. This April was nominated by L'Oreal Paris-Femina Woman Awards 2012.( Femina is the oldest womens magazine in India.) Have been painting the human condition, mostly the suffering masses, slowly my work has changed to a more hopeful note, and bit more colourful. Trying to bring back the old style of painting in a surreal way. Pieter Bruegel has always been my guru in a sense, having had no formal training in the fine arts. My style of painting is very slow, work with a zero number brush to get the finish and it can take up to a month to finish a small 12 by 10 inch work. If I do a bigger canvas Takes me 4 to 5 months to finish it. But I have all the time in the world, love my job and paint even in my dreams.
