Annelise Firth
About
I think that my passion for art derives from painting from nature as a child in Kent, and also being introduced at a young age to the work of Impressionists such as Degas and Lautrec. A book on these artists was given to me by a family friend due to my interest in Ballet at the age of six, and was convinced I was on the way to becoming a Prima Ballerina! But instead the art took over and I have never looked back...
I use both pastels and oils in my process and I am likely to set scenes where the key elements would be a model or objects and create a composition where I can concern myself with their colour, dynamic form and line within my painting method.
I have a Masters of Art in Fine Art and also a History of art Degree.
