Elvira Rajek

About

Born in 1965, lives and works in Vienna, Austria. Photography, art objects, assemblage, video.
The intended mise-en-scene has been an important component of her art work. Having started with arranged portraits, for the last three years she has focused on still lifes. Research as well as the study of particular topics play important roles: to deal with a topic - to eviscerate, to mangle, and to transform - to achieve a new insight. He, who has eyes to see, sees everything in everything. (Georg Christoph Lichtenberg)
