As a general rule, monochrome paintings do not show an object. Not even could they be described as abstract. They do not represent anything else than their own facticity.
The reduction enables a concrete aesthetic experience of the painting's inherent law through material, structure, text, bold colours and RED as expression of energy, ecstasy and sensuality.
Conceptive thoughts will combine on the image area during the process of painting. Canvas and pigments combine
to a multi-layered statement that contains concious and unconcious elements.
In contrast to the sleek, the photo-realistic surface and the perfect image - I try to create images with
a porose, complex inner world. This is achieved through the haptic quality of the painting's surface
in connection with the expressive colour. There are no empty spaces, no blind spots. Sometimes it shows the uninterpretable.
The momentary unexplainable in connection with these expressive colours.
The paintings are created through layers - while I am using the colours mainly in undiluted form. My way of painting
is spontaneous and the artwork itself evolves during the process."
