About

I work in several mediums. Repeatedly I use natural material as cotton, metal, wire, wood or paper.
I use light and shadows to define textures, which is one of the characteristic in my Art.
The process of manipulating the cotton tread become for me the media of free artistic expression and a new identity of a sculptural object and graphics. Compositions vary from abstract recognizable shapes to the more landscape-like. Aesthetically, some are austere and elegant others rich and rhythmical. A leading theme in my works is the world of human senses reflected in formal elements of my compositions. Describing moods and emotions within my work generally I am interested in texture and line.

Most of the time I work in series, which helps me stay focused.
Characteristic of my work is layering, lettering and a strong sense of texture.
I work on big pieces, but I also really enjoy working in a small, intimate scale.
It gives me a feeling of building up a confidence about hand/eye coordination and
ensures a certain spontaneous quality to my bigger pieces, even if they are sometimes very labor intensive.

Drawing gives me another kind of expressions more personal and more intimate.
The aim was to use ink pen drawings as repeatability of layers to create a free art composition in a big size.
This was a provocation for me to break an accredited canon of drawing towards 3D form of sculpture.
In my art I focus on new experiments that are innovative for me to help create my intimate art world.
