About

Meinbert Gozewijn van Soest,
born 1964 in Alkmaar, Netherlands

As a follow-up Meinbert Gozewijn van Soest is working on a series of studies, which are a further investigation into the re-creation of images or "imagoes". Imagoes as in 'stages of metamorphosis of an (idealized) image' of a person. In his drawings he approaches his subjects from inside, rather then exploring the supposed superficiality of the image.
