Joost Gerritsen is a prize winning Dutch artist who is living near Valencia in Spain. His work shows an intuitive approach. He is a story teller and inspired by science and popular culture. He finds the relationship between the two inspiring and uses them to create paintings that are ambiguous and invite the viewer to take a second look.

Education

Joost Gerritsen studied Art at the Institute for modern art AKI Enschede Holland and graduated in 1994. He gave lectures and classes at the Academy of modern Art in Enschede and the Collage of Adult Education Amstelveen in the Netherlands.
