I sign my work as "brazza" - the African explorer is somewhat of a hero to me.

To me painting is like throwing the tarot - an intentional act aimed at revealing the contents of my subconscious. I have no other objective but to discover what's-a-happenin' inside and to communicate it.

My motto is passion or bust! My art is unschooled and primitive.

I agree with the i-ching's definition of life as a series of evolving processes in motion. The Well (hexagram 48) speaks directly to my approach to art : "We must go down to the very foundations of life. Any merely superficial ordering of life that leaves its deepest needs unsatisfied is as ineffectual as if no attempt at order had ever been made."

I understand Gauguin's need to paint and publish his three questions: "Where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going?".
