Born in Taiwan, Jennis Li Cheng Tien studied Interactive Media Design In Singapore and work in advertising agencies for several years. In 2008 she relocated to Germany where received her MFA in Public Art and New Artistic Strategies in 2010 at the Bauhaus University of Weimar, Germany.
Li has since exhibited internationally with her work (Germany, USA, Spain, France, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Korea and Taiwan).
ᎻᎪᏤᎬ Ꭺ ᏁᎥᏟᎬ ᎠᎪᎩ is an ongoing project since August 2010. It is a series of collages containing random pictures with anonymous people sourced from the internet. The found images are reprocessed with digital manipulations to the amount that the features become unrecognizable, forming fictive characters. Sometimes the pictures are treated to assimilate paintings.
With this unique series of Have a Nice Day which very unlike her other art practices in the public space, the artist chose to digitally fuses her interests in paintings and contemporary fashion.
