Photography is an adventure, just like life is an adventure. It's an exploration that turns me as creator and observer simultaneously inwards and outwards, to the objective and subjective world.
The evocative image to me is an expression and experience of both states and I aim to make images and photographs which do not only illuminate the subjects framed but also cast a light or spell on the picture, or the *image within the picture*, as being the subject itself from which a world radiates and is set free.
I like the world of symbols, dreams and hidden meanings as much as the world of surface, form and clarity. I find inspiration in the equilibrium between those two, between surfaces and symbols, the real and the surreal. Between the natural and the artifact, the universal and the personal.
