Yvonne Hakkert born in Amsterdam is an professional independent artist who works on the Bickerseiland Amsterdam Centre. Since 1990 she makes photo's and turns them in to new compositions. She also makes great abstract oil paintings.

After a periode of painting on canvas she began to dive in the digital world in 1990. Yvonne bought a camera to collect images, to use them as digital paint in the computer, "Computer art was born". Now after a intensive period of 20 years successful making computer art, Hakkert also started to paint on canvas again with great results. Artist Yvonne Hakkert is a member of the artist group Kunsteilanden Amsterdam. Art Islands Amsterdam is a new initiative by Dutch artists who live and work on the Westelijke Eilanden in the center of Amsterdam (near Central Station).
