Ian McKay was born in the U.K. in 1949.
He has had a dual career in visual and performance art since 1967 in Canada.
The images presented here are from a series of drawings and prints from his series; Axonometropolis, The Infinite City of Babel. The series was inspired by the writings of Jorge Luis Borges and his descriptions of the infinite nature of the Universe.
Since 2005, like Borges, McKay has become blind. In spite of this, he has continued to create new images.
