I was born in Manchester and live in Bramhall, Cheshire. I gained BA(Hons) at Manchester Polytechnic and M.Phil at Leeds University both in Fine Art. I am a Fellow of the Royal British Society of Sculptors - FRCS
Lorna Green is a sculptor and environmental artist who works in Art in Public Places and Art in Nature. She has worked throughout the UK as well as overseas in both urban and rural landscapes, indoors and outdoors, permanent and temporary, large and small scale. Her sculpture is site specific in that it relates totally to the site considering the architecture. the landscape, the history, economy, ecology or mythology of te area. She uses a wide variety of materials relevant to the project - wood, stone, bricks, steel, planting, sand, water, glass, light, plastics even feathers, silk flowers,drink cans and bottles, hay and snow.
